THE TRUE VISIONARY, PEDAGOGUE, AND ENTREPRENEUR
Rachel Eubanks
Rachel’s biography is included in the International Dictionary of Black Composers (1996). Born in San Jose, she has lived in San Francisco, Oakland, and Los Angeles. New York, Albany Georgia, Wilberforce and Columbus Ohio. She received her B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1945. She was married to Reverend ―Mac‖ MacDonald, a Baptist minister who wanted her to be a pastor’s wife. But that’s not what she envisioned and so their 1950 marriage ended 1 ½ later in 1952. For she had already received her M.A. from Columbia University in 1947.

Acting & Drama Classes
(Drama) Our drama and acting classes teach our youth how to convey their thoughts and feelings through their faces and body language, and also how to read the non-verbal cues sent by other people. This makes them more effective communicators in the real world.
Acting & Drama Classes
(Dancing) Our philosophy is singing, and dancing is a way in which students are able to express themselves; it can help ease any stress in their life and gives them a boost of confidence in their own abilities. Through dance, students learn to coordinate and control their bodies and the movement helps them develop spatial awareness. Our classes start at the age of for five-year-old and our oldest student is 87.

Recitals
(Recitals) Performing, dancing, acting, singing or demonstrating any cultural arts at a recital gives the artist a chance to show a piece that is polished and perfected. The time, effort and discipline that an artist has to devote to the preparation for a recital is accumulated back to the artist beyond his or her imagination. Recitals help build self-confidence and self-esteem. Performing in front of an audience plays a significant role in self-confidence in all areas of life.
Concerts
(Concerts) The purpose for a concert is to introduce and foster cultural arts appreciation, encourage young and old performers, and create a connection between cultures and races where artistic endeavors becomes the vivid experience and a universal language. One of the great benefits of a concert is the opportunity to hear new, see and experience new sounds. Instrumentalists playing together can produce a wide variety of textures and styles of music. As young musicians hear different styles of music, they expand their musical knowledge. Many times, they acquire a new “favorite” style of music.
